My name is Mary Beth, but you can call me MB! I am a plant-based health & wellness enthusiast and live in Metro-Detroit with my husband and our corgi, Cooper!

I started my career in Public Relations and have worked within the PR, marketing and advertising fields throughout the last several years. I received my BA degree in Communication Studies from Albion College and went on to complete a MA degree in Public Relations from Michigan State University (Go Green!). As I began to establish myself in my career, I knew deep down that I wanted to be on a path where I could help people in a meaningful way, but felt disconnected with the industry that I was in and at that time, I didn’t know why.

While working within the PR, marketing and advertising fields, I went through a health transformation of my own. The stress and demands of work, coupled with some turmoil in my personal life, caused me to focus more on getting ahead in my career and less on my own health and well-being. As a consequence, I didn’t take care of my body or my mind and became a person I didn’t recognize.  I felt uncomfortable in my own skin at all times, was extremely insecure from weight I had gained, suffered phases of depression from how my body felt and could only see everything I hated about myself every time I looked in the mirror. I felt trapped in my own body.  Even worse, I allowed myself to feel bad about the position I had put myself in. I was tired, weak and knew things had to get better…but how?

A few years ago, something in me changed…I knew this person I had become wasn’t who I really was at my core. I jumped out of bed one morning with this rising power inside to make a change. Enough was enough! An overwhelming feeling came over me and I immediately made the commitment to myself that my health and happiness would be my number one priority. I cleaned up my diet, established a dedicated workout routine and in doing so, quickly found my intention being met in the health and wellness industry. Was my journey easy? Hell no…and it’s something that I continue to work at every single day. Life isn’t always picture perfect….there are tears, set backs and frustrations. But there are also smiles of excitement as goals are met, feelings of accomplishment when you look back at how far you’ve come. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and because of that, I am certain that I had to go through my own journey in order for it to lead me to where I am today. I feel truly blessed to be on this path and I can’t wait to help others reach their “ah ha!” moment in their own health and wellness journey.

Presently, I have parted ways with the corporate world and have been blissfully following my purpose. I am on the road to becoming an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and am ecstatic about helping people become the best versions of themselves both on and off of their plate.  Throughout this site, you’ll find tips on health, fitness and wellness, self-care, plant-based recipes and so much more!

Thank you for being here. I am incredibly happy you’ve stumbled upon my page and I look forward to connecting with you.
